Dr Alison Vincent is a technical thought leader with 30 years experience in Global Businesses holding senior level positions in Cisco, HSBC, NDS, Micro Focus and IBM. Most recently she was the Group Chief Information Security Officer at HSBC responsible for the Global IT Cyber Security Strategy and Implementation. Prior to HSBC, as CTO at Cisco, Alison was an Ambassador and trusted advisor championing Cisco technology to Customers, Start-Ups, Government, Partners, Press and Analysts. Her roles span experience in Risk, Research and Development, Strategy Execution, Product Management and Business Development, with particular expertise in digital strategy, innovation and Mergers and Acquisitions. Alison was announced to be one of the Top 50 Influential Women in UK IT 2017. She has been frequently published in the press, and is a keen social media technical influencer on twitter ( @draliv ). She is an Ambassador for Women In Science and Engineering (WISE) and is a passionate supporter of the STEM agenda in Schools.
She is a Non Exec Director for Telesoft Technologies, LBHealthcare and Claisse St Vincent. She is on the Industrial Advisory Committee for Royal Hollloway College, London University Computer Science Department.
She is the Chair of the Health & Safety Audit and Assurance Committee and a member of the Remuneration Committee.
Alison has a PhD in Cryptography from London University and a 1st Class honours BSc in Maths and Computer Science. She is a Fellow of the British Computer Society.
