The University’s Student Union, (SUSU) boasts over 40 student-led performing arts groups . There are opportunities for everyone to get involved or to come and see a performance.

Southampton University Players are a community theatre company who rehearse at Highfield campus and the group is open to alumni, staff and members of the community.

Theatre in the City

Southampton is home to Mayflower Theatre , the biggest theatre on the south coast. The Mayflower brings a diverse range of shows to Southampton, presenting a mixture of spectacular touring productions, from musicals - many direct from the West End – to dance, opera, drama, ballet and comedy.

In Winchester, you will find Theatre Royal Winchester , Winchester Discovery Centre , and Hat Fair - the free festival of Street Performance and Outdoor Arts taking place every July.
