The Electrochemical Circus is the outreach vision of the ADEPT Program grant. It brings together an array of modular hands-on activities to demonstrate key scientific concepts at the cutting edge of electrochemical and materials research.
These activities highlight the multidisciplinary nature of this work, and provoke conversations and two-way learning interactions between members of the public and the ADEPT research team.
Electrochemical CircusWe have developed a new transistors display on show at Winchester Science Centre linking to our research on nanoscale electronic components
Featuring our water transistor model, this display teaches visitors to Winchester Science Centre about what transistors are, and why they are so important to modern life. Come and race the computer, see how a transistor works and learn about what transistors are used for!
Winchester Science CentreOutreach and advocacy are important priorities for the ADEPT team, many of whom are passionate about communicating the importance of their research to a wide range of stakeholders. ADEPT team members get involved with a wide variety of outreach and public engagement activities, some of which are featured below.
