Faculty Research Fellowships are career development posts that provide an opportunity to develop your personal profile of research and high quality publication supported by external funding, while working collaboratively with outstanding researchers and educators. Your time will be split equally between research and education in the respiratory field.

Situated within one of the UK's leading research led Universities, the Faculty of Health Sciences offers superb facilities for research and education and is one of the largest and most successful of its kind in the UK. You will be joining world class academic staff committed to transforming health services and improving health outcomes.

The Faculty provides a robust infrastructure for the development of clinical academic careers and has excellent, cutting edge undergraduate and postgraduate education programmes for physiotherapy, podiatry, occupational therapy, nursing, midwifery and healthcare scientists.

You will work with Professor Anne Bruton to develop research proposals, identify sources of research funding and secure funds through grant applications. You will hold a PhD ideally in respiratory physiotherapy, or other related field. You will have research experience including running research projects, data analysis, and report and paper-writing. Fifty percent of the post is dedicated to the delivery of high quality education in our pre-registration physiotherapy programmes, which encompass both undergraduate and postgraduate students. You will therefore be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of pre-registration education and have relevant teaching experience. Your role will also involve the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate student projects.
