Applying research into clinical practice is a key part of every allied health professionals role.
There are several different ways to stay up to date with evidence based practice. These can take the form of in service training, journal clubs, and research forums.
Research Forum for Allied Health Professionals
The Research Forum for Allied Health Professionals
comprises members and officers from 11 Allied Health Professions. The vision for this group is that 'all AHP practice will be acknowledged and evidence based within a respected culture of high quality research'.
They aim to be strategic, influence policy and lobby funding organisations, act as advisory body regarding AHP research, comment on current research policy and publications, give advice to AHP councils, committees and working groups and promote and disseminate AHP research.
The CSP researchers forum
The CSP researchers forum is an event run by the CSP in collaboration with the Allied Health Professions Research Network. This forum provides an opportunity for senior researchers to network, collaborate and discuss current issues affecting research.
If you would like to register your interest in joining this group, or have suggestions for future topics please email the forum on [email protected].
