What is your current job?
Working as a Criminal Barrister, defending/prosecuting in the most serious criminal cases.
What have been the turning points in your career?
Being offered a tenancy at my current chambers, the Chambers of Stephen Hockman QC, 6 Pump Court, and being lucky enough now to have developed a good practice.
What are you most proud of?
Making a career out of something I enjoy doing.
What advice would you give to Southampton graduates?
To survive as a barrister you need to have the capacity for hard work, nerve and a lot of luck.
If you could start your time at University again, what would you do differently?
I don’t think I’d do anything differently.
What are your future career plans?
Carry on doing what I’m doing and see where it leads.
