I selected UoS because of its position as one of the top universities in the UK. Also, I was excited about all the innovations and research that was occurring within my department - ECS
It was a growing/learning experience. I had the opportunity to interact with a large international community and created lasting bonds with people from all over the world. Also, the coursework and projects shaped and improved my knowledge of my field and served as a foundation for my current career. The lecturers were also excellent at what they did and taught and were thoughtful about your personal and academic growth.

The coursework pushed me to learn so much and grow my skills. Also, I loved that we were given the choice to select what courses we wanted to do. This helped me try out various areas of IT I found interesting while also focusing on my chosen research area.

The highlight of my career is switching from a completely technical backend support role to a Technical Business Analyst role
My advice is, take the coursework seriously, make use of the career services on campus and attend Job fairs on campus – this will help you interact with employers to understand what they require.
