Stuart Popham (LLB Law 1977)

Stuart, currently Senior Partner at Clifford Chance LLLP, talks about how his study at Southampton prepared him for employment and why he reengaged with the University.

Richard Holdaway (BSc Aeronautics and Astronautics 1970, PhD 1974)

Reminiscing about how Southampton provided him with the right problem solving skills, Richard explains why he enjoys coming back to Southampton and how he became Director of Space Science and Technology at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory.

Monica Hubner (BA German 1955, PGCE 1956)

Monica talks about what it was like to study at Southampton in the 1950s and how the University has progressed since then.

Simon Nash (BA Philosophy and Politics 2006; MSc Strategic Entrepreneurship 2008)

After completing his degree Simon set up his own company, Green Oil UK, and he talks about the skills he learned throughout his Humanities degree.

Alumni Event Video Profile

Postgraduate Alumni Event 'Environmental Change - Linking Up Our Knowledge' - March 2011

This event was organised specifically for our Postgraduate alumni and brought together a variety of perspectives on Environmental Change, including keynote talks by Professor Robert Nicholls, Professor Jane Francis and Professor John Dyke. The video documentary contains snippets of the presentations and interviews with attending alumni.

Symposium '10 years of research at the Centre for the Archaeology of Human Origins (CAHO)' - January 2011

As part of the celebrations for 10 years of this research centre, CAHO organised an international symposium on Avenue Campus, bringing back many alumni who studied Palaeolithic archaeology at Southampton. This documentary gives an overview of why these alumni choose Southampton and how they stay in contact with the University.
