The Office of Development and Alumni Relations (ODAR) is looking for hardworking and enthusiastic students to join our student fundraising team to support our annual Calling Campaign.  This year’s Calling Campaign will take place from Monday 7th February -  Sunday 20th March 2022.

During the Campaign, our student fundraising team call 10,000 of our alumni and supporters to raise money for amazing causes right here at the University of Southampton, from helping disadvantaged students to succeed at Southampton through the Ignite Programme to supporting life-saving research into Cancer Immunology .

We are also looking to hire a small team of Student Supervisors, who will manage the calling team and assist the Regular Giving officer in many aspects of the campaign – please see below for more information .

Last year, our fundraising team raised nearly £30,000 –join us this year to help us raise even more!

As a Student Caller you’ll also be helping to engage our alumni with the many ways they can stay involved with Southampton, such as attending events or becoming volunteers.

Who we look for

• A current undergraduate or postgraduate student.
• A confident communicator and a good listener - whilst good spoken English is essential, we do not expect applicants to speak English as a first language and welcome applications from students of all backgrounds.
• An enthusiastic team player who is passionate about the University.
• A reliable, hardworking and dedicated individual with strong time management skills.
• Available to attend caller training on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 Feb

Student Supervisors

We are also looking for a small team of Student Supervisors, who will help our staff to manage the fundraising team and the call room. Supervisors are paid £11.41/hour and gain valuable experience in managing and upskilling team members, as well as additional responsibilities assisting the Regular Giving Officer in managing the campaign.
