Mr Dominic Barker is a Technician in Archaeology at the University of Southampton.
I graduated from Southampton with a degree in archaeology in 1989. From 1990 until 2001, I worked for a number of commercial archaeological units throughout the country. I have developed skills such as topographical survey, geophysical survey, desk-based assessment, extensive evaluations, standing building survey and post excavation analysis. I have extensive excavation experience on a variety of different sites including deeply stratified, urban excavations and extensive rural evaluations and excavations. I have worked abroad in Denmark, Egypt, Oman, The Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Spain, France, Belgium, Austria, Jordan, Turkey and Syria as well as travelling in Qatar.
My main area of interest is Conflict archaeology Of the late medieval to post-medieval periods.
