These sessions are designed to give you the opportunity to meet a member of our team, get a clear overview of our work experience opportunities and answer any questions you might have. Workshops take place in the Student Hub.
Finding and Securing Work Experience
You will learn:
- What opportunities are available to you at the University
- Where you can find Work Experience Opportunities
- Top tips on how to apply for roles with our UoS Internships and Student Innovation Projects
You will then have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have to our Work Experience Team.

Year in Employment Placement Appointments
Do you have a question about completing a placement year? Need support with your placement search? Book on to one of our 1-1 Year in Employment Placement Appointments through MyCareer and chat to one of our team!
During your 15 minute appointment, you can talk to a Work Experience Adviser about all aspects of the placement year and receive guidance with your placement search.
These appointments are not suitable for students from School of Engineering and Southampton Business School. Support for these students are available directly through their Faculty.
