Chemistry & Chemical Engineering supports all students and staff with any disability to achieve their full potential. This is our commitment and we strive to ensure we offer the best provision possible.
We are proud to be the first university in the UK to be awarded Disability Confident Employer Leader status (awarded December 2017). Being Disability Confident, we aspire to lead the way in the academic sector and beyond, helping to positively change attitudes, behaviours and cultures.
The University is also proud to be a partner of AccessAble (formerly DisableGo), a nationally renowned charity dedicated to improving knowledge and awareness of the accessibility of public buildings. AccessAble conducts an annual audit of our campuses and facilities, and provides access details through their website, available to all.
The University has also signed the Mindful Employer charter.
Chemistry recognises that staff and students who have disabilities and may have additional needs and require assistance to reach their full potential. We work with Enabling Services and Occupational Health to provide support, information and advice that is tailored to meet individual needs.
