Enabling Services provides a wide variety of support for students who have disabilities, mental health conditions and/or specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia. Our expert team can provide advice and support relating to your studies, both while you are preparing for University and throughout your time here.
There are many ways in which you can access support for mental health and wellbeing problems. In this section you will find information, advice and self-help resources on many common problems that you might experience in your life as a student.

The school of Chemistry have staff who are trained First Aiders for Mental Health, they are Sally Dady, John Langley and Tom Robertson. If you need to talk to somebody about any concerns for your mental health and wellbeing, please get in touch with one of them and they will be available to listen to you and signpost you to finding further advice, guidance and support.
These guides are written by NHS Clinical Psychologists with contributions from service users and healthcare staff. They offer the opportunity to find out more about the causes of mental health issues and provide tools to work through feelings and emotions. They also include information about the services available through Enabling Services.

We all have mental health, just as we all have physical health. They can both change throughout our lives and in response to external factors.
