Confucius Instititute at Hands-on Humanities Day, 18th November

On 18th November 2023, the Confucius Institute at the University of Southampton participated in the Hands-on Humanities Day.

For this event, the CI ran four Chinese cultural workshops including calligraphy, paper-cutting, making handmade lanterns and Baduanjin Qigong, an ancient Chinese exercise, and attracted lots of participation from visitors.

Lasting from 10.30 until 4.30, these workshops provided a great opportunity for visitors to experience Chinese culture. Some guests expressed their appreciation for the Chinese language courses offered by the Confucius Institute, and many guests stated that they hope their children can have the chance to learn Chinese in future.

Overall, it was a successful day and we look forward to other activities like it coming soon!
