The CI Received a Delegation from Beijing Language and Culture University

On 14 April 2024, Professor Peng Duan , President of Beijing Language and Culture University, led a delegation of five people, visited the Confucius Institute at the University of Southampton.

A talk was held between the delegation and staff from the University of Southampton - Dr Ying Zheng, CI British Director, Dr Jiangzhi Zhang, CI Chinese Director, and Dr Guoping Li from the Faculty of Engineering.

The meeting was chaired by Dr Ying Zheng, who introduced the attendees and warmly welcomed the guests from Beijing. President Peng Duan presented an overview of the history, scale, and academic disciplines of Beijing Language and Culture University. The participants from both sides discussed and exchanged views on inter-school exchanges, talent cultivation, scientific research cooperations, and the future development of various projects.
