Mr Peter Boorman
Learning Technologist
Before joining the University, Pete had around 12 years of teaching experience, mainly within the outdoor education sector focusing on Geography and Biology fieldwork. He has worked in some amazing places such as the Jurassic Coast and Singapore.
As a qualified teacher, Pete specialises in learning outdoors and creative teaching methods. He is experienced in developing accessible and inclusive teaching resources having worked with all learning abilities and works hard to make sure everyone gets the support they need so they can achieve their goals.
One of his favourite projects was developing an augmented reality sandbox to teach, topography, volcanoes, and flooding to A-level geography students. He is passionate about finding new ways to engage students and integrate technology within teaching. When not at work Pete can be found in the woods, hiking and developing his bushcraft skills.
