Staff Benefits and Employee Assistance Programme The University provides all staff with access to an EAP from Legal & General where you can receive information and advice, support and counselling. The service is confidential, not restricted to issues and problems connected with work, and is free of charge. Access to support is via telephone helpline and website. With Geraldine Witt . You are welcome to drop in at any time between 9.15-16.30 and have a chat (or two). Please bear in mind that most tables will be staffed by volunteers, and won't necessarily be staffed all day. If you don't manage to see someone from a group face-to-face during the day, you can leave them a note in the drop box.

October Books is an independent bookshop in Portswood, opposite Trago Lounge, with a wide range of general-interest and relevant specialist titles (sociology, politics, health, kids...) plus organic and fairtrade food and toileteries. There's also an online shop.
RiceUp is a wholefood co-operative based in Hanover Buildings, central Southampton, stocking fresh, chilled and packaged food, wines and beers etc, again all ethically sourced.
The Art House , Above Bar (almost opposite Turtle Bay) offers lots of fun, stress-busting activities including Stitch n Bitch. And a nice caff with yummy vegan and gluten-free options.
