EPSRC continues to encourage industrial collaboration through the employment of CASE (Collaborative Awards in Science and Engineering) studentship awards.
These awards are a type of doctoral studentship designed to incorporate an element of collaboration and industrially-related training to broaden the student’s experience. These awards are supported through the University of Southampton’s EPSRC Doctoral Training Partnership grant (DTP), and will be allocated through a competitive tender.
These studentships will provide outstanding students with access to expertise and facilities not available in an academic setting alone, whilst at the same time encouraging productive engagement between collaborators.
Students will have an opportunity to develop a range of valuable skills and significantly enhance their future employability, and the industrial partner will benefit from a motivated, high-quality PhD student undertaking cutting-edge research relevant to the organisation’s priorities and objectives.
Awards will be 3.5 years in duration.
