Further University Support

There is also a wide range of services at the University that are there to offer support for anything you may be struggling with. Please click on the boxes below to find out more. 

 

Yellow Door

Yellow Door offer a range of specialist therepeutic support & prevention services to anyone at risk/affected from domestic abuse, sexual violence or interpersonal harm. Yellow Door run a drop-in service on main campus once a week with an ISVA. 

 

 

SUSU Advice

The Student Union's Advice Centre provides free, independent and confidential support to all students. SUSU Advice are there to represent students and can support with a wide range of topics including Academic Integrity, Appeals and Tenancy Agreements. 

 

Student Disability & Inclusion

Student Disability and Inclusion can support students with any disclosed disability, specific learning difference or long-term physical/mental health condition to ensure adjustments, recommendations and support are in place for study.

 

Financial Support

The University of Southampton can offer support for student financial wellbeing, whether it is learning how to budget or accessing financial support. 

 

The Faith and Reflection Centre

The Faith and ReflectionCentre and Muslim prayer room is open for both staff and students to ejoy Monday-Friday in term time. Students can pop in  and have a free tea or coffee, have lunh or have a chat with one of our volunteers. 

 

Academic Support

A Personal Academic Tutor will be allocated to each student when they arrive at University. This tutor will offer 1:1 support and advice specific to the students study. A students Senior Tutor will also be a primary point of contact for any further advice and signposting.
