Event details
Designed for students with a specific learning difference such as Dyslexia and other neurodivergent conditions, including ADHD, this workshop will discuss the importance of developing organisational and time management skills at University. We will also spend time considering how to manage procrastination and increase motivation. The aim of the workshop is to help you organise your study time and feel in control of your studies. A little organisation helps to control the pace of your work, without feeling overwhelmed. We will identify techniques for planning your workload, so that you can manage lectures and seminars, meet deadlines, and still have time for leisure and exercise. This workshop will also help you to identify the reasons why you may postpone or avoid study, look in detail at the relationship between procrastination and motivation, and, finally, consider a range of strategies to help get you motivated! There will be opportunities to ask questions related to your own work and share experiences with others, in a small, informal group setting.
