Event details
The Student Disability and Inclusion Team presents a series of Group Workshops which are designed for autistic students and those awaiting a diagnosis. You do not need a formal diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC) to join the workshops. In the session, we will explore the common myth that autistic people do not feel empathy. We will look at different types of empathy and how autistic people may experience empathy differently to neurotypical people. This session explores much some of the literature around empathy to help build context to why some people believe autistic people cannot feel empathy. This session will take place in person, at Highfield Campus. Further details, including exact location, will be provided at the time of booking.
