Study Skills Support is an opportunity to meet 1:1 with a specialist practitioner (no appointment necessary) for practical study advice and support.
Study Skills Support takes place in the pods in the AT Suite (room 2047) on level 2 in Hartley Library and is available:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday (term time) 2:00pm - 4:00pm
Wednesday (vacation period) 2:00pm - 4:00pm.
Enabling Services offer a range of specialist study workshops designed for students with an SpLD, including 'Assignment Planning' and 'Revision and Memory'. For more information and to book onto a workshop please refer to our Events Page .
Students with DSA which recommends Study Skills with the University of Southampton can book 1:1 Study Skills tutorials Monday to Friday with a specialist practitioner at Highfield or WSA campus.
1:1 tutorials are an opportunity to meet with a specialist SpLD practitioner who can help students build up their transferable skills to develop writing techniques, reading efficiency, improve exam methods and time management.
During tutorials, specialist practitioners can also help students identify their personal study skills needs and develop a tailored study skills programme. This could include planning written assignments, research strategies, note taking, revision techniques and much more.
