Cyclic Corrosion Test Chambers (CCT) combine traditional exposure to salt spray with a variety of other controlled climates, including variable temperature & humidity, to create an accelerated simulation of service life conditions
The Cyclic Corrosion Test Chamber (CCT) combines traditional exposure to salt spray with a variety of other controlled climates, including variable temperature & humidity, to create an accelerated simulation of service life conditions, according to customer requirements. CCT is, therefore, particularly well suited to predicting product service life expectancy.
They come with the ability to create 4 distinct climates: 1. Salt spray; 2. Condensation humidity (wetting); 3. Air drying; 4. Controlled humidity. These may be programmed to occur in any sequence and be repeated automatically.
The Ascott CC450G comforms to the following standards:
nCATS has run various projects in the Ascott CC450G CCT chamber has been used in various research, student and consultancy projects from development of new sensors to electrochemical measurements of metals and coatings. Additionally corrosion of aircraft paints and comparison to environmental weathering has been explored.
