Building Management

What the Building Management team do

• Support the delivery of teaching, learning and research and provide a high-quality student experience within our buildings
• Act as the main point of contact for Building occupiers in respect to Estates and Facilities Services.
• To deal with customer queries either directly or, where this is not possible, through liaison with other University personnel as appropriate escalating those that cannot be resolved.
• Communicate activities relating to the building to all staff within the building.
• Ensure the smooth running of all building operations.
• Manage building defect reporting and coordinate actions for rectification, identify equipment damage/failure and arrange for repair/replacement.
• Ensure a safe and clean environment for building occupiers through regular inspections and auditing of standards.
• Provide Building Inductions for staff and colleagues.
