Dr Tatiana Sofia Alvares-Sanches PhD, MArch, MSc, PgCert, RIBA, FHEA
EPSRC Doctoral Prize Research Fellow
Tatiana Sofia Alvares-Sanches is currently an EPSRC Research Fellow in Urban Analytics and Geospatial Analysis at the GeoData Institute, School of Geography and Environmental Science, University of Southampton.
Originally trained as an architect, Tatiana has worked for more than five years in architectural and engineering practices across several European Countries. She has an MSc in Energy and Sustainability, and a PhD in geospatial analysis, both from the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, University of Southampton. She joined the GeoData Institute and the School of Geography and Environmental Science in February 2020 to work on the development of a digital platform for engaging citizens in urban analytics research.
She is also a Chartered Architect within RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) and the Ordem dos Arquitectos (the Portuguese Professional Accreditation Body for Architects), a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), and was awarded a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice (PGCAP) from the University of Southampton.
