Registration: 17:00 - 18:00 Inaugural Lecture: 18:00 - 19:00 Drinks Reception: 19:00 - 20:00 In this Inaugural Lecture, Professor Jackie Bridges will draw on her research and professional experiences to discuss what older people need from health services and to identify what it takes to provide high quality health care to older people with complex needs. An analysis of the organisational conditions in which health care workers, especially nurses, can provide good care will be used to set out an agenda for practice, policy, research and education in this important field.

Professor Jackie Bridges ,programme of work focuses on the organisation and delivery of health care to older people with complex needs. She leads a major programme of research focused on professional work and organisational change related to older people’s care, and steers the development and delivery of associated educational provision in the Faculty of Health Sciences. Jackie leads the Ageing and Dementia research theme and is an investigator for NIHR CLAHRC Wessex. She is also Director for the NIHR CLAHRC Wessex Research Capacity in Dementia Care programme.
