A notice period is the amount of time you need to give the University if you want to leave your job, or the University needs to give you when your employment ends.
There are two types of notice period - statutory and contractual. Statutory notice is the minimum legal notice that can be given. Contractual notice can be longer than this. It is the amount the University has set out in your terms and conditions of employment. Please refer to your contract of employment to see what the notice requirements are for your position.
