The Southampton Marine and Maritime Postgraduate Group (SMMPG), in connection with the Southampton Marine and Maritime Institute (SMMI), aims to bring together all academic faculties, with the idea that many different perspectives can aid in the better understanding of marine and maritime topics. This group is meant to be an outlet for postgraduate students both to discuss their work and to socialise with other members of the maritime community.
