ISMA-USD 2020
PhD research students Kristian Hook and Lawrence Singleton recently presented some of their work at ISMA-USD 2020, a biennial conference on Noise and Vibration Engineering held in Leuven.
Kristian presented ‘ Feedback active control using an acoustic black hole’ , which details the use of a feedback control architecture to simultaneously reduce taper vibration and reflection within an acoustic black hole and Lawrence presented ‘An adaptive electrodynamic metamaterial for robust absorption of vibration’ , which proposes an adaptive tuning method to improve the performance and robustness of an electrodynamic metamaterial. Videos of each presentation can be viewed below.
ISMA-USD 2020 was moved to an electronic format due to the COVID-19 restrictions.
