PhD & PGT Fair - January 2022

Last 27th January 2022, Varan Houghton, UK Postgraduate Recruitment Officer at Global Recruitment and Admissions and Miriam Gomez Lopez, Faculty International Officer at Faculty of Social Sciences International Office took part on the PhD Live Virtual Study Fair.

During this session prospective students were able to visit the different universities’ virtual booths, including the University of Southampton to find out more about our facilities, scholarships, application processes and ask any questions they may have before coming to study with us.

Around 118 prospective students expressed their interest in studying at University of Southampton.

“We had a very enjoyable day and it was so great to talk virtually with students from so many countries around the world such as: Italy, Romania, Sweden, UK, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Mauritius, Morocco, Nigeria, Ecuador, Grenada, Honduras, Bahrain, India, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Taiwan, Vietnam.

Even though this session was targeted to PhD applicants we also talked and answered queries from applicants from other levels including postgraduate taught students from Business and Finance, Social Sciences, Education and Mathematics subjects.
