As part of the Diversity fortnight, Dr Larry Day, responsible for teaching/educating/delivering/monitoring EDI amongst medical students, will be delivering this session.

Dr Larry Day,Dr Larry Day is a GP who worked on the Southampton campus at the University Health Service. He is assistant diversity coordinator and his research interests include refugee students, mental health among doctors and teaching diversity in novel ways. He has developed and led A Journey Working with Diversity as a 3rd year SSU over the last 10 years." “Prejudice and stigma can be explored in small medical student groups that are exciting and involve personal growth and change” Dr Day designed the 3rd year BM SSU “A Journey Working with Diversity” in 2004. This 10 week course runs every term for up to 8 students. It allows a frank and vigorous exploration of attitudes and prejudices in many areas. From 1995 – 2003 he was a GP principal at the University Health Service. Before general practice he was a registrar and Wolfson Foundation clinical research fellow in histopathology at the University of Bristol.
