NAMRIP exhibition taking shape
The exhibition team gathered in the LifeLab, at Southampton General Hospital, to practice setting up their exhibits in preparation for the December 14 launch conference of the Network for Anti-Microbial Resistance and Infection Prevention
Overcoming a plethora of logistical challenges, the team showed colleagues at the LifeLab how a range of technologies, from acoustic levitation to 3D printing, can be used in innovative ways in the battle against AntiMicrobial Resistance.
Such exhibits are complex to mount and when you are faced with transporting such things as mobile sink units it can become quite a test of ingenuity to get things both in and out, on time. Throw in 3D printers and lasers and it becomes clear that the exhibition organisers were kept very busy. Parts of the afternoon's activities were filmed and some short films were also made in which NAMRIP researchers describe their AMR projects. These will be made available on the website soon.
The afternoon was enjoyed by all who attended and activities were fuelled with cakes and plenty of tea and coffee. If you were unable to attend, the exhibits from the event plus several more, will form the interactive exhibition to be shown at the NAMRIP Launch Conference on December 14.
