The Office for Students (OfS) regulates universities in England. Its aims are to ensure students get good value, teaching standards are high, that new higher education institutions are credible, and that universities are making efforts to widen participation.
The Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education (QAA) is an independent charity working to benefit students and higher education. The QAA works with governments, agencies and institutions globally to benefit UK higher education and its international reputation. The Quality Code is a key reference point for UK higher education, protecting the public and student interest, and championing UK higher education's world-leading reputation for quality. It enables providers to understand what is expected of them and what to expect from each other. It has been developed by QAA on behalf of the UK Standing Committee for Quality Assessment, in consultation with the higher education sector.
The University’s latest Higher Education Review was completed in February 2015 and published in April 2015. The full report is available on the QAA website. Previous reviews of the University, published in 2008 and 2003, are also available on the QAA website.
