The Statistics and Operational Research group remains in the top 50 of the QS World Rankings by Subject 2020, climbing 11 places to 37th worldwide. This group is a major component of S3RI and this recognition of the work of everyone involved is very welcome.
Professor Dankmar Böhning , Director of the S3RI, stressed the benefits of Southampton being home to one of the UK’s largest concentration of statisticians. “It is a great pleasure to see that S3RI enjoys a global reputation for excellence in research into core statistical methodologies with many direct applications, particularly in the social sciences, engineering, health and medicine.
