Former S3RI student co-authoring paper on the effectiveness of steroid for Covid-19
Many of us will have seen on the news a couple of weeks ago about a steroid treatment that is effective for seriously sick Covid-19 patients.
A preprint is now available at https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.06.22.20137273v1 and it may be of interest that one of our former students, Natalie Staplin, is one of the co-authors.
Natalie did a BSc in Maths with Actuarial Science and then did a PhD with Alan Kimber on informative censoring. Natalie is now with the MRC Population Health Research Unit at the University of Oxford.
