S3RI members appointed as Turing Fellows
Alan Turing Institute (ATI) has announced a new cohort of Turing Fellows. Congratulations to Dave Woods, Helen Ogden and Erengul Dodd from S3RI on their appointment as Turing Fellows. Turing Fellows are scholars with proven research excellence in data science, artificial intelligence or a related field whose research would be significantly enhanced through active involvement with the Turing network of universities and partners. With the support of the ATI the fellows will develop new methods for the simultaneous design of simulation and physical experiments with application to materials science (Woods), develop new flexible models for count data (Ogden), and investigate how AI and predictive data analytics can be used more widely in predicting future risk trends such as mortality and morbidity, and inform policy (Dodd).
