Leading Justice Campaigner joins Law School for Collaborative Project
The Stefan Cross Centre for Women, Equality and Law is delighted to welcome alumna Dr Kate Paradine to the Law School as an Adjunct Fellow.
Kate has been published in academic journals, as well as newspapers and broadcast media, she has over 25 years of experience in campaigning, strategy and policy, as well as research in the charity, academic and public sectors (including policing). She has been the CEO of Women in Prison from 2015 to 2022, and received the Howard League Criminal Justice Champion Award 2021.
In the Law School, Kate will be working with
Dr Harry Annison
and others on a project entitled “Building academic-third sector praxis in criminal justice.”
This project will stimulate thinking about improved knowledge exchange and impact from research-stakeholder engagement, focusing on the criminal justice third sector and primarily those working in relation to women affected by the criminal justice system.
The project is funded with a grant from the Higher Education Innovation Fund .
