Dr Duncan Hodges received his PhD in 2005 from the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Bath. His early career focused on identifying and visualising complex interactions between how radiowaves propagate through the Earth's atmosphere and the meteorological conditions. Following a period of post-doctoral work on the same subject he left academia to work within the civil service.
After a further three years working in the civil service on a wide range of challenging and unique problems he joined the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford. He works with Professor Sadie Creese and his research focuses on the distillation, aggregation and efficient visualisation of identities.
