Dr Rachel Fletcher

Rachel Fletcher was formally admitted to the roll of solicitors in 2003, following which she spent 5 years in practice at a London based firm, specialising in Property Law, with some experience in Company Law. She later worked overseas as an in-house Consultant for a development company.

Upon her return to the UK at the end of 2009, Rachel redirected her career focusing upon research and was employed by the University of Southampton as a legal researcher on the WeGov project. This peaked an interest in political theory and democratic innovations and she later embarked upon an MSc in Politics and International Relations at the University of Southampton, for which she was awarded a Distinction at the end of 2011.

Rachel is now employed on the SuperIdentity project as Professor Stephen Saxby’s Research Assistant, and is focusing upon issues of data collection, retention, privacy, surveillance and evidential standards.
