Event details
The Fairness, transparency, privacy interest group presentation: ‘A Multidisciplinary Study of Predictive Artificial Intelligence Technologies in Criminal Justice Systems’, takes place on Friday 25 March, 13:00-14:00, with Turing Fellow, Pamela Ugwudike (Associate Professor in Criminology) and Age Chapman (Professor of Computer Science). In this talk, Pamela and Age will describe the findings of their Turing-funded project which explored a classic predictive policing algorithm to investigate conduits of bias. Several police services across western and non-western jurisdictions are using spatiotemporal algorithms to forecast crime risks.
