'Smart EV' Workshop, 20 and 21 of April 2016

A workshop entitled ‘Smart Grids, Clever Vehicles: connecting electric vehicles to the Grid’ was organised by Southampton University partners of ‘BaChMan’ consortium. More than 50 delegates from UK and China attended the workshop, which took place on 21st of April 2016 at Grand Harbour hotel Southampton.

The name of speakers are listed below:

  • Prof Andrew Cruden from Southampton University presented the progress of ‘BaChMan’ project.
  • Becky Gough from Cenex with presentation entitled ‘Ebbs and Flows of Energy Systems’.
  • Prof Stephen Finney from Strathclyde University presented the progress on ‘Interface and Network Infrastructure to Support EV Participation in Smart Grids’ project.
  • James Cross from EATL presented the work on ‘My Electric Avenue’ project.
  • Prof Kang Li from Queen's University of Belfast presented the progress on ‘iGIVE’ project.
  • Matt Joss from ETI with presentation entitled ‘Consumers, Vehicles and Energy Integration (CVEI)’.
  • Dr. Fei Teng from Imperial College of London presented on behalf of ‘Grid Economics, Planning and Business Models for Smart Electric Mobility’ project

In addition, the four UK/China smart EV project partners attended a ‘closed’ event on 20th of April, just before the main workshop.
