Biography
Dr. Alan M Borthwick is a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southampton. His research has largely focused on the contemporary and historical sociology of the allied health professions in the UK and Australia, and in particular on the profession of podiatry. Alan is currently Deputy Editor of the Journal of Foot and Ankle Research, Chairman of both the Medicines Committee and the Research & Development Committee of the College of Podiatrists, a member of Council of the Society of Chiropodists & Podiatrists, and a Director of the Runting Podiatry Research Foundation Board of Trustees.
