Professor Judith Lathlean

Biography

Judith Lathlean is Professor of Health Research in the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Southampton. She has an academic background in the social and behavioural sciences and has specialised in health services and professional education research. Her research interests extensive but currently include service reconfiguration and new roles in health care, service delivery in mental health including in prisons and evaluation of practice and education. Methodologically she is inclined towards action research and participatory designs, case study and mixed methods research and she mainly teaches in relation to these topics and through the supervision of postgraduate research students.

She is also a Non-Executive Director of an Acute Health Trust Board in the UK and a Co-joint Professor in the University of Newcastle, NSW, Australia.
