The Dalian Polytechnic University campus features specialist equipment and hardware to give our students hands-on experience at an industry standard, preparing them for life after education. The campus comprises new studios for teaching Fashion Design and Graphic Arts, two Mac suites, Digital Printing rooms, Photographic Studios, Libraries, Lecture Theatres and a Cafe.
Dalian Polytechnic University was founded in 1958. Since then it has established itself as the only institution in the Northeast of China that specializes in Art & Design, Textiles and Light Industry. Spread over a beautiful 85 acres, the campus boasts wonderful green spaces in conjunction with industry standard buildings and equipment.
Dalian itself is a major seaport in the south of the Liaoning province, Northeast China, and is the second largest city in Liaoning province next only to the capital Shenyang. Its city centre is a thriving hive of activity that hosts city-wide festivals, sports and a stadium and a large financial district that has seen the rise of skyscrapers. All of this is easily reachable from the campus due to the excellent public transport network.
Studio Rooms
The Dalian Polytechnic University campus has several large studio rooms for both Graphic Arts and Fashion Design, furnished to recreate an authentic studio environment and allow students the creative space they need to nurture their potential.
Mac Suites
There are two Mac Suites on the Dalian Polytechnic University Campus each with over 52 Macs which students are able to use for their studies. These are all equipped with the latest industry standard software, as well as support from our on-site technicians and specialist tutors.
Digital Printing
Students can use two Digital Printing Centre rooms, both equipped with the latest printing equipment, to use for their studies. Students can print in large-format, on many different types of material and paper weight and receive advice from on-site technicians.
Photographic Studio
The Photographic studios are purpose-built spaces equipped with all the relevant equipment; ie, lighting rigs and backdrops, for use by students during both teaching and for their different assignments.
Libraries
There are two libraries on the Dalian Polytechnic University campus relating to both Graphic Arts and Fashion Design. The content of these libraries has been carefully selected by tutors to ensure that there is a range of material, both old and new, to support students with their studies. One of the libraries contains a quiet study area, where students can come and work whilst using the facilities, researching and sourcing relevant material.
English Learning
Dalian Polytechnic University also has several rooms equipped for the purpose of English Learning. Here students can improve their English and get expert support from our English Teachers who are on-site to help with inquiries.
A thriving, modern and vibrant coastal city, with a rich cultural heritage. Located in Northeast of China, Dalian is the second largest city in Liaoning province. Dalian is one of China's most affluent regions, is home to a large number of hi-tech enterprises and hosts China's long-established international fair for the fashion and textile industry. The city is often referred to as ‘Fashion City’.
Dalian also plays host to many sporting events, with the highly successful Dalian Aerbin Football Club playing at the 30,755 capacity Jinzhou Stadium. The newly opened multipurpose Dalian Sports Center has a crowd capacity of 60,000 people and is one of the largest in the province.
Dalian is located in the eastern Liaoning Province of Northeast China and is China's northern most ice-free seaport. Dalian is the second largest city in Liaoning Province and is a very popular destination among Chinese tourists and foreign visitors from Japan, Korea and Russia. Its mild climate and numerous beaches along with its important place in the history of modern China make it an especially interesting place to visit. Although one of the most prosperous and modern cities in Northeast China, Dalian still exhibits some wonderful architecture, characterised by its numerous squares.
