19 Threads – MA Textile Design

An adventure in a parallel Preen world

An exciting collaboration between globally renowned brand Preen and MA Textile Design students, the 19 Threads exhibition was displayed across the Ground Floor, West Side Foyer, Winchester School of Art (WSA) this March.

19 Threads is the first ever collaboration between British Designer brand Preen and Winchester School of Art. Preen by Thornton Bregazzi was founded in 1996 by WSA alumna Justin Thornton, and Thea Bregazzi, and has become well known for its bold designs and hand-crafted details.

The exhibition showcased print, knit and weave designs from 19 MA Textile Design students inspired by Abstract Florals translated into the language of textiles.

The signature vintage style of Preen was playfully incorporated into the installation and visualised the concept.
