Making use of the Graduate Capital Model
There are various ways across the University of Southampton and at other universities, in which the Graduate Capital Model is being used to help students to develop life-long skills that will help them to navigate and negotiate their future careers.
-
Mentoring - students reflect upon, identify and prioritise gaps in their Capitals. Mentors then support them to develop and work on their priority areas.
-
Curriculum content - academic colleagues designing programme and module content in line with the Learning Outcomes.
-
Placement preparation - supporting the career development of second year students as they apply for placements.
-
Tutorials - results of the Career Readiness Test being used to support conversations with students about their futures.
