Title

NHS Cancer Vaccine Launch Pad (CVLP)

Description

CVLP is a project to establish the feasibility of pathways to enable NHS patients with cancer to access cancer vaccine trials. The study is investigating the optimum process for patients, across multiple cancer types, to receive personalised cancer vaccines by enrolment in the CVLP.

Objectives

Primary:

  • To determine whether it is feasible to recruit cancer patients to a platform for personalised cancer vaccine trials, whether there is capacity for tumour samples to be analysed within a suitable time frame and if this results in acceptable participation in cancer vaccine clinical trials.

Trial Design

The CVLP is a multicentre prospective observational cohort study for the collection of tumour samples and matched blood samples from patients with cancer.

Trial Status

Open to recruitment

For more information on the CVLP, inlcluding supported vaccine trials and participating NHS Trusts, please follow the link below:

Population

NHS patients with early or late-stage cancer who are receiving cancer treatment on the NHS will be able to have tumour (and sometimes blood) samples sent to the laboratories for analysis. Depending on mutations present in the samples that may be suitable for use in a personalised cancer vaccine, patients may be eligible to enter screening for one of the vaccine trials.

Funder

CVLP is funded by NHS England.
