I am pleased to welcome you to the School of Health Sciences. We hope that your doctoral programme will provide you with a stimulating and rewarding learning experience and that you will enjoy studying with us. During your PhD, formal support will come from the Faculty Graduate School as well as your supervisor and other members of your supervisory team. Many PhD students also gain valuable support from other members of their research group. Please make use of the Health Doctorates site on Blackboard, where you will find programme information, details of the training programme and announcements.
All important documents and guides are available on the Doctoral College site . In addition, the Health Sciences Blackboard site provides announcements about School-specific training and opportunities.

We are proud of our graduate school and the enthusiasm for research within it. Many academic staff from within the School are leading research and will be involved in supporting you in developing research knowledge and skills. There is a great culture for encouraging students with moving forward in their research journeys, and in getting the most your chosen programme of study.
