Energy Management in Non-Domestic Buildings - University wins EPSRC funding

The University of Southampton has teamed up with local business OpenSystemSolutions, based in Hamble, to win £500,000.00 funding to provide an innovative low cost system that will save energy by monitoring non-domestic buildings for heat loss via their facades.
The interdisciplinary bid, which came top , was a joint effort between Dr Patrick James from the faculty of engineering and the environment, Professor Alex Rogers , from the faculty of physical sciences and engineering, Dr Carmine Ornaghi , from the faculty of Social and Human Sciences and OpenSystemSolutions, who specialise in delivering sustainable energy savings via building control systems.
