Bowel & Bladder Management research group and the ICS launch new, updated Continence Product Advisor Website
Have you ever wondered what it would be like if you couldn’t use the loo and found yourself leaking urine (or stool) – this is called incontinence. How would you manage?
The new Continence Product Advisor website is here to help. First launched in 2013 it has recently undergone a major update. It provides detailed, evidence-based information about products for bladder and bowel problems for users, carers and healthcare professionals across the world and is the only evidence-based continence management resource on nhs.org.
Mandy Fader, Professor of Continence Technology at Southampton commented, “We developed the Continence Product Advisor website to be evidence-based, including research that underpins product use and product selection where available and independent of any industry sponsorship or brand promotion. We are delighted with the response to the new website from users, carers and healthcare professionals from across the World who are looking for evidence-based independent information about bladder, bowel and toileting difficulties, written by incontinence experts.”
